The Tiaxa Emergency Advance is an offline application which allows users to request a cash advance from the Operator each time they are in need, for their airtime wallet or for their Mobile Money wallet. The Operator’s specific prepaid or corporate customer base is segmented and scored, and the credit limits available to each segment of users is determined. Upon need, a user may request an emergency top-up via a USSD or SMS request, and the system will offer the corresponding amount within seconds. If accepted, the advance will be made available immediately with the validity period as defined by the Operator, and will be recovered when the user tops-up again. Such advances may be used for calls, SMS, data applications and downloads, or for any Mobile Money applications, as the case may be.
Benefits for the Operator include increased customer loyalty, reduced SIM-swap, increased or sustained ARPU, with no risk to the Operator. Tiaxa provides the Emergency Top-Up as a Managed Service, including all hardware, software, and supporting professional services. Tiaxa also manages the risk for the Operator, guaranteeing the repayment of all the advances to the Operator in the case of user churn.
